e61228a214 fix(tests): needing two calls to setup a screen is cringe
Before calling "attach" a screen object is just a dummy container for
(row, col) values whose purpose is to be sent as part of the "attach"
function call anyway.

Just create the screen in an attached state directly. Keep the complete
(row, col, options) config together. It is still completely valid to
later detach and re-attach as needed, including to another session.

052498ed42 test: improve test conventions
Specifically, functions that are run in the context of the test runner
are put in module `test/testutil.lua` while the functions that are run
in the context of the test session are put in
`test/functional/testnvim.lua`.

Closes https://github.com/neovim/neovim/issues/27004.

a9a48d6b5f refactor(message): simplify msg_puts_display and use batched grid updates
msg_puts_display was more complex than necessary in nvim, as in
nvim, it no longer talks directly with a terminal.

In particular we don't need to scroll the grid before emiting the last
char. The TUI already takes care of things like that, for terminals
where it matters.

refactor!: delete insertmode (#18547)
Neovim already removed `evim` (or any similar flags). The 'insertmode'
option is a weird remnant, so get rid of it.

The 'insertmode' option is replaced with a script that closely emulates
the option. This script is documented at :help 'insertmode'

4b7f7be301 test: port Test_edit_08() to Lua test
Test_edit_08() depends on special-case handling in has_compl_option()
and redrawing() which are in Vim but are not wanted in Nvim. Using a Lua
test instead of depending on workarounds in the core to make the VimL
test work.
