From 18afacee1d98b9987391b8bdef08282fb156fa88 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Justin M. Keyes" Date: Wed, 5 Oct 2022 08:15:55 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] feat(docs): format parameters as a list #20485 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Problem: The {foo} parameters listed in `:help api` and similar generated docs, are intended to be a "list" but they aren't prefixed with a list symbol. This prevents parsers from understanding the list, which forces generators like `gen_help_html.lua` to use hard-wrapped/preformatted layout instead of a soft-wrapped "flow" layout. Solution: Modify gen_vimdoc.py to prefix {foo} parameters with a "•" symbol. --- runtime/doc/api.txt | 590 ++++++++++++++++++------------------- runtime/doc/diagnostic.txt | 74 ++--- runtime/doc/lsp.txt | 338 ++++++++++----------- runtime/doc/lua.txt | 180 +++++------ runtime/doc/treesitter.txt | 180 +++++------ scripts/gen_vimdoc.py | 2 +- 6 files changed, 682 insertions(+), 682 deletions(-) diff --git a/runtime/doc/api.txt b/runtime/doc/api.txt index 6f7f0bf416..6ffef22ec3 100644 --- a/runtime/doc/api.txt +++ b/runtime/doc/api.txt @@ -545,9 +545,9 @@ nvim__get_runtime({pat}, {all}, {*opts}) *nvim__get_runtime()* |api-fast| Parameters: ~ - {pat} pattern of files to search for - {all} whether to return all matches or only the first - {opts} is_lua: only search lua subdirs + • {pat} pattern of files to search for + • {all} whether to return all matches or only the first + • {opts} is_lua: only search lua subdirs Return: ~ list of absolute paths to the found files @@ -559,7 +559,7 @@ nvim__id({obj}) *nvim__id()* in plugins.
