cc72233c83 radeonfb: remove warning with CONFIG_PM=n
Remove warning from powerpc ppc64_defconfig builds:

drivers/video/aty/radeon_pm.c:30: warning: 'radeon_reinitialize_M10' declared 'static' but never defined

It's used only under CONFIG_PM, and only with CONFIG_X86 before it is
defined, so the forward declaration can be moved under the ifdef.

994aad251a [PATCH] radeonfb sleep fixes
Many IBM Thinkpad T4* models and some R* and X* with radeon video cards draw
too much power when suspended to RAM, reducing drastically the battery
lifetime. The solution is to enable suspend-to-D2 on these machines. They
are whitelisted through their subsystem vendor/device ID. This fixes
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3022

The patch introduces a framework to alter the pm_mode and reinit_func fields
of the radeonfb_info structure based on a whitelist. This should facilitate
future hardware-dependent workarounds. The workaround for the Samsung P35
that is already in the radeonfb code has been rewritten using this framework.

The behavior can be overridden with module options:

i) video=radeonfb:force_sleep=1
enable suspend-to-D2 also on non-whitelisted machines (useful for
    testing new notebook models),

ii) video=radeonfb:ignore_devlist=1
Disable checking the whitelist and do not apply any workarounds.

b04e3dd4ab [POWERPC] video & agp: Constify & voidify get_property()
Now that get_property() returns a void *, there's no need to cast its
return value. Also, treat the return value as const, so we can
constify get_property later.

e8222502ee [PATCH] powerpc: Kill _machine and hard-coded platform numbers
This removes statically assigned platform numbers and reworks the
powerpc platform probe code to use a better mechanism. With this,
board support files can simply declare a new machine type with a
macro, and implement a probe() function that uses the flattened
device-tree to detect if they apply for a given machine.

We now have a machine_is() macro that replaces the comparisons of
_machine with the various PLATFORM_* constants. This commit also
changes various drivers to use the new macro instead of looking at
_machine.

a1909e631c [PATCH] radeonfb: resume support for Samsung P35 laptops
Make resume from suspend-to-ram possible for Samsung P35 laptops.

The radeon mobility 9700 chip on Samsung P35 laptops locks up everything on
resume from suspend-to-ram if it is not reinitialized.

VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10]
Class 0300: 1002:4e50
       Subsystem: 144d:c00c

Unfortunately, the DMI strings are mostly identical for all Samsung
laptops. So we match the PCI ID and subsystem ID of the graphics card
which is unique for each Samsung laptop model.

a7fdd90bc4 [PATCH] ppc: Remove powermac support from ARCH=ppc
This makes it possible to build kernels for PReP and/or CHRP
with ARCH=ppc by removing the (non-building) powermac support.
It's now also possible to select PReP and CHRP independently.
Powermac users should now build with ARCH=powerpc instead of
ARCH=ppc. (This does mean that it is no longer possible to
build a 32-bit kernel for a G5.)

14bfd1ff94 [PATCH] pmac/radeonfb: Add suspend support for M11 chip in new iBook 12"
This adds suspend support for the Radeon M11 chip in 12" iBooks
manufactured after July 2005. I don't know if the new 14" iBooks also
have that chip, so they might also be supported.

The chip identifies itself as "RV350 NV" (pci id 0x4e56), revision 0x80.
Apple calls it "Snowy", xfree86 names it "ATI FireGL Mobility T2 (M11)
NV (AGP)". So, we seem to be lucky here: The suspend-code for the M10
(which also is a "RV350 NV") works flawless for that chip.

ca078bae81 [PATCH] swsusp: switch pm_message_t to struct
This adds type-checking to pm_message_t, so that people can't confuse it
with int or u32. It also allows us to fix "disk yoyo" during suspend (disk
spinning down/up/down).

[We've tried that before; since that cpufreq problems were fixed and I've
tried make allyes config and fixed resulting damage.]

0c541b4406 [PATCH] ppc32: Fix AGP and sleep again
My previous patch that added sleep support for uninorth-agp and some AGP
"off" stuff in radeonfb and aty128fb is breaking some configs. More
specifically, it has problems with rage128 setups since the DRI code for
these in X doesn't properly re-enable AGP on wakeup or console switch
(unlike the radeon DRM).

This patch fixes the problem for pmac once for all by using a different
approach. The AGP driver "registers" special suspend/resume callbacks with
some arch code that the fbdev's can later on call to suspend and resume
AGP, making sure it's resumed back in the same state it was when suspended.
This is platform specific for now. It would be too complicated to try to
do a generic implementation of this at this point due to all sort of weird
things going on with AGP on other architectures. We'll re-work that whole
problem cleanly once we finally merge fbdev's and DRI.

In the meantime, please apply this patch which brings back some r128 based
laptops into working condition as far as system sleep is concerned.

1da177e4c3 Linux-2.6.12-rc2
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.

Let it rip!
