Fixes few more problems I found in my saa7134 resume code:
* Race between IRQ handler and .suspend()/.resume() functions
* Removes timeout timers on active buffers - those
buffers will be recaptured after resume
* Adds suspend/resume for IR code - probably
necessary if using polling mode
* Adds #ifdef CONFIG_PM overs suspend code
* Runs a quirk in set_tvnorm in suspend/resume too
* Rearranges the order of calls in saa7134_resume to
be exactly as in saa7134_initdev thus the card is
initialized in exactly the same way
* Since DMA audio capture suspend/resume isn't yet supported,
avoid re-enabling it on resume for now

struct video_device used to define a .hardware field. While
initialized on severl drivers, this field is never used inside V4L.
However, drivers using it need to include the old V4L1 header.
This seems to cause compilation troubles with some random configs.
Better just to remove it from all drivers.

CONFIG_VIDEO_BUF_DVB became CONFIG_VIDEOBUF_DVB.
But in these cases, it makes more sense to use CONFIG_VIDEO_SAA7134_DVB
or CONFIG_VIDEO_CX88_DVB_MODULE depending on the driver.
The reference in cx23885.h should just be removed, as the code there needs to
be included if DVB is on or off. I do not think you can even compile the
cx23885 driver without DVB. It's clearly just leftover from when the file was
obvious copied from the cx88 driver (which is not mentioned in the copyright
BTW).

Enhance the dvb-pll definition of the fmd1216 tuner by adding an init sequence
and a sleep sequence.
The init sequence sets the AGC control register to 0xa0, selecting the fast
time constant and 112 dBuV take-over point. This the recommended value for
DVB-T operation.
The sleep sequence sets bit P4 (which is believed to turn the analog
demodulator on), turns off the tuning voltage, and sets the AGC control
register to 0x60 (external AGC voltage, the recommended value for analog
operation).
The existing dvb-pll users in the cx88 driver, listed below, will gain these
init and sleep sequences.
CX88_BOARD_HAUPPAUGE_HVR1100 Hauppauge WinTV-HVR1100 DVB-T/Hybrid
CX88_BOARD_HAUPPAUGE_HVR1100LP Hauppauge WinTV-HVR1100 DVB-T/Hybrid (Low Profi

CX88_BOARD_HAUPPAUGE_HVR1300 Hauppauge WinTV-HVR1300 DVB-T/Hybrid MPEG Encod
This non-dvb-pll user in the cx88 driver should only gain the sleep sequence,
as it already had an equivalent init sequence. The non-dvb-pll code for this
user is removed.
X88_BOARD_DNTV_LIVE_DVB_T_PRO digitalnow DNTV Live! DVB-T Pro
In these saa7134 driver, these non-dvb-pll users are converted to use dvb-pll:
SAA7134_BOARD_MD7134 Medion 7134
SAA7134_BOARD_ASUS_EUROPA2_HYBRID Asus Europa2 OEM
The saa7134 functions philips_fmd1216_tuner_init(),
philips_fmd1216_tuner_sleep(), and philips_fmd1216_tuner_set_params() are
deleted and the dvb-pll versions are used.
This should result in equivalent sleep, init, and tuning sequences being sent
to the tuner.
For the cxusb driver, only one board is effected:
USB_PID_MEDION_MD95700 Medion MD95700
This board used dvb_usb_tuner_init_i2c() and dvb_usb_tuner_set_params_i2c()
for init and tuning, respectively. These functions are effectively the same
as the dvb-pll versions. They call a tuner pass control function defined at
the dvb-usb level, but this does not matter, as this card does not have a
tuner pass control function (only the dib3000mb does). This board will gain
the sleep sequence, while init and tuning should be unchanged.

This patch changes the test for the thread pid from >= 0 to > 0.
When the saa8134 driver initialization fails after a certain point, it goes
through the complete shutdown process for the driver. Part of shutting it
down includes tearing down the thread for tv audio.
The test for tearing down the thread tests for >= 0. Since the dev
structure is kzalloc'd, the test will always be true if we haven't tried to
start the thread yet. We end up waiting on pid 0 to complete, which will
never happen, so we lock up.

The out of tree v4l-dvb build system didn't always override the kernel's
configuration settings with v4l-dvb's settings correctly. To work around
this, makefiles would define some new macro based on the setting of a
config variable. e.g. the pwc Makefile would define CONFIG_PWC_DEBUG if
CONFIG_USB_PWC_DEBUG (which is defined via Kconfig) was set.
The v4l-dvb build system should now always override correctly, and this
is no longer necessary. This patch gets ride of these extra defines and
just uses the CONFIG_* settings directly.

After Al Viro (finally) succeeded in removing the sched.h #include in module.h
recently, it makes sense again to remove other superfluous sched.h includes.
There are quite a lot of files which include it but don't actually need
anything defined in there. Presumably these includes were once needed for
macros that used to live in sched.h, but moved to other header files in the
course of cleaning it up.
To ease the pain, this time I did not fiddle with any header files and only
removed #includes from .c-files, which tend to cause less trouble.
Compile tested against 2.6.20-rc2 and 2.6.20-rc2-mm2 (with offsets) on alpha,
arm, i386, ia64, mips, powerpc, and x86_64 with allnoconfig, defconfig,
allmodconfig, and allyesconfig as well as a few randconfigs on x86_64 and all
configs in arch/arm/configs on arm. I also checked that no new warnings were
introduced by the patch (actually, some warnings are removed that were emitted
by unnecessarily included header files).

Many struct file_operations in the kernel can be "const". Marking them const
moves these to the .rodata section, which avoids false sharing with potential
dirty data. In addition it'll catch accidental writes at compile time to
these shared resources.

- At device open, it sets the recording source to the current

Maintain a per-CPU global "struct pt_regs *" variable which can be used instead
of passing regs around manually through all ~1800 interrupt handlers in the
Linux kernel.
The regs pointer is used in few places, but it potentially costs both stack
space and code to pass it around. On the FRV arch, removing the regs parameter
from all the genirq function results in a 20% speed up of the IRQ exit path
(ie: from leaving timer_interrupt() to leaving do_IRQ()).
Where appropriate, an arch may override the generic storage facility and do
something different with the variable. On FRV, for instance, the address is
maintained in GR28 at all times inside the kernel as part of general exception
handling.
Having looked over the code, it appears that the parameter may be handed down
through up to twenty or so layers of functions. Consider a USB character
device attached to a USB hub, attached to a USB controller that posts its
interrupts through a cascaded auxiliary interrupt controller. A character
device driver may want to pass regs to the sysrq handler through the input
layer which adds another few layers of parameter passing.
I've build this code with allyesconfig for x86_64 and i386. I've runtested the
main part of the code on FRV and i386, though I can't test most of the drivers.
I've also done partial conversion for powerpc and MIPS - these at least compile
with minimal configurations.
This will affect all archs. Mostly the changes should be relatively easy.
Take do_IRQ(), store the regs pointer at the beginning, saving the old one:
struct pt_regs *old_regs = set_irq_regs(regs);
And put the old one back at the end:
set_irq_regs(old_regs);
Don't pass regs through to generic_handle_irq() or __do_IRQ().
In timer_interrupt(), this sort of change will be necessary:
- update_process_times(user_mode(regs));
- profile_tick(CPU_PROFILING, regs);
+ update_process_times(user_mode(get_irq_regs()));
+ profile_tick(CPU_PROFILING);
I'd like to move update_process_times()'s use of get_irq_regs() into itself,
except that i386, alone of the archs, uses something other than user_mode().
Some notes on the interrupt handling in the drivers:
(*) input_dev() is now gone entirely. The regs pointer is no longer stored in
the input_dev struct.
(*) finish_unlinks() in drivers/usb/host/ohci-q.c needs checking. It does
something different depending on whether it's been supplied with a regs
pointer or not.
(*) Various IRQ handler function pointers have been moved to type
irq_handler_t.

The dvb_frontend_ops is a pointer inside dvb_frontend. That's why every demod-driver
is having a field of dvb_frontend_ops in its private-state-struct and
using the reference for filling the pointer-field in dvb_frontend.
- It saves at least two lines of code per demod-driver,
- reduces object size (one less dereference per frontend_ops-access),
- be coherent with dvb_tuner_ops,
- makes it a little bit easier for newbies to understand how it works and
- avoids stupid mistakes because you would have to copy the dvb_frontend_ops
always, before you could assign the static pointer directly, which was
dangerous.

Currently in /sys/class/dvb/dvbX.demuxY/ we have:
dev
uevent
With the patch, we have (for a PCI DVB device):
dev
device -> ../../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1e.0/0000:03:0d.0
uevent
So userspace tools can (finally) work out which physical device a DVB adapter
refers to. Previously you had to kinda look through dmesg and hope that it
hadn't been dumped out of the buffer. This makes debugging a lot easier if
the system has been up for a long time!
This is done by adding an extra 'struct device *' parameter to
dvb_register_adapter(). It will work with any kind of standard
linux 'device'. Additionally, if someone has an embedded system which does
things differently, they can simply supply 'NULL' and the behaviour will be
as before - the link will simply not appear.

This fixes some uneeded rebuilds under drivers/media/video after moving

paths, which is unnecessary. Changed to use relative paths.

Add a new audio mode V4L2_TUNER_MODE_LANG1_LANG2 (used by VIDIOC_G/S_TUNER).
This mode allows the user to select both languages of a bilingual transmission,
one language on the left, one on the right audio channel. If there is no
bilingual transmission, or it is not supported, then this mode should act like
V4L2_TUNER_MODE_STEREO.
This mode is introduced for PVR-like drivers where it is useful to be able to
record both languages of a bilingual broadcast.

Cleanup audio input handling in bttv and tvaudio:
- inputs were specified that were never used
- mute was handled as a special input which led to confusing code
- confusing naming made it difficult to see if the setting was for
i2c or gpio.
The old audiochip.h input names moved to tvaudio.h. Currently this
is used both by tvaudio and msp3400 until the msp3400 implements the
new msp3400-specific inputs.
Detect in bttv the tvaudio and msp3400 i2c clients and use these
client pointers to set the inputs directly instead of broadcasting the
command.
Removed AUDC_SET_INPUT. Now replaced by VIDIOC_S_AUDIO. This will be
replaced again later by the new ROUTING commands.
Removed VIDIOC_G_AUDIO implementations in i2c drivers: this command is
a user level command and not to be used internally. It wasn't called at
all anyway.

Some chipsets have several problems when pci to pci transfers are activated
on overlay mode. the option no_overlay allows disabling such feature of
the driver, in favor of keeping the system stable.
The default is to use pcipci_fail flag defined on drivers/pci/quirks.c.
It also allows the user to override it by forcing disable overlay or forcing
enable. Forcing enable may generate PCI transfer corruption, including disk
mass corruption, so should be used with care.

The device, Medion 7134, has two saa7134 chips on it, but only one of them
is functional in the current saa7134 driver.
This patch adds autodetection for the second, unsupported saa7134 chip,
as SAA7134_BOARD_MD7134_BRIDGE_2, and displays a message to the user
(in dmesg) indicating that the second chip isn't yet functional.
This is useful for users, since two instances of the saa7134 driver
will spawn. This patch will prevent confusion by warning the user that
only one of the chips on the board are functional.
There are other versions of the SAA7134_BOARD_MD7134 with only a single
saa7134 bridge/decoder -- those devices will not be affected by this patch.
Only devices containing the second chip will display the warning.

This moves the 32 bit ioctl compatibility handlers for
Video4Linux into a new file and adds explicit calls to them
to each v4l device driver.
Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any code handling
the v4l2 ioctls, so quite often the code goes through two
separate conversions, first from 32 bit v4l to 64 bit v4l,
and from there to 64 bit v4l2. My patch does not change
that, so there is still much room for improvement.
Also, some drivers have additional ioctl numbers, for
which the conversion should be handled internally to
that driver.
