c2a96b7f18 Driver core changes for 6.11-rc1
Here is the big set of driver core changes for 6.11-rc1.
 
 Lots of stuff in here, with not a huge diffstat, but apis are evolving
 which required lots of files to be touched.  Highlights of the changes
 in here are:
   - platform remove callback api final fixups (Uwe took many releases to
     get here, finally!)
   - Rust bindings for basic firmware apis and initial driver-core
     interactions.  It's not all that useful for a "write a whole driver
     in rust" type of thing, but the firmware bindings do help out the
     phy rust drivers, and the driver core bindings give a solid base on
     which others can start their work.  There is still a long way to go
     here before we have a multitude of rust drivers being added, but
     it's a great first step.
   - driver core const api changes.  This reached across all bus types,
     and there are some fix-ups for some not-common bus types that
     linux-next and 0-day testing shook out.  This work is being done to
     help make the rust bindings more safe, as well as the C code, moving
     toward the end-goal of allowing us to put driver structures into
     read-only memory.  We aren't there yet, but are getting closer.
   - minor devres cleanups and fixes found by code inspection
   - arch_topology minor changes
   - other minor driver core cleanups
 
 All of these have been in linux-next for a very long time with no
 reported problems.

d5316cdd15 gpu: ipu-v3: pre: don't use fixed timeout when waiting for safe window
The timeout when waiting for the PRE safe window is rather short, as
normally we would only need to wait a few dozen usecs for the problematic
scanline region to pass and we don't want to spin too long in case
something goes wrong. This however mixes badly with preemption, as we
can easily get scheduled away from the CPU for a longer time than our
timeout, in which case we would hit a spurious timeout and wrongly skip
the PRE update.

Instead of disabling preemption across the wait loop, potentially
impacting the overall system latency, use a wait loop with a fixed
max number of iterations, so time spent away from the CPU is not
accounted against the timeout budget.

4dbc7d5d61 gpu: ipu-v3: pre: add dynamic buffer layout reconfiguration
imx-drm doesn't mandate a modeset when the framebuffer modifier changes,
but currently the tile prefetch and resolve (TPR) configuration of the
PRE is only set up on the initial modeset.

As the TPR configuration is double buffered, same as all the other PRE
states, we can support dynamic reconfiguration of the buffer layout from
one frame to another. As switching between (super-)tiled and linear
prefetch needs to touch the CTRL register make sure to do the
reconfiguration inside the safe window.

4402a5aa97 gpu: ipu-v3: Convert to platform remove callback returning void
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart
from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks.

To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return
void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to
.remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers
are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove().

Trivially convert the ipu-v3 platform drivers from always returning zero
in the remove callback to the void returning variant.

eb0200a435 gpu: ipu-v3: pre: don't trigger update if buffer address doesn't change
On a NOP double buffer update where current buffer address is the same
as the next buffer address, the SDW_UPDATE bit clears too late. As we
are now using this bit to determine when it is safe to signal flip
completion to userspace this will delay completion of atomic commits
where one plane doesn't change the buffer by a whole frame period.

Fix this by remembering the last buffer address and just skip the
double buffer update if it would not change the buffer address.

e88728f46c driver core: Rename flag AUTOREMOVE to AUTOREMOVE_CONSUMER
Now that we want to add another flag to autoremove the device link
on supplier unbind, it's fair to rename the existing flag from
DL_FLAG_AUTOREMOVE to DL_FLAG_AUTOREMOVE_CONSUMER so that we can
add similar flag for supplier later.
And, while we are touching device.h, fix a doc build warning.

This configures the TPR unit, using the DRM format modifier. For now only
the single buffer modifiers are supported, as split buffer needs more
configuration for the required cropping.

11aff4b4c7 gpu: ipu-v3: pre: implement workaround for ERR009624
The PRE has a bug where a software write to the CTRL register can block
the setting of the ENABLE bit by the hardware in auto repeat mode. When
this happens the PRE will fail to handle new jobs. To work around this
software must not write to CTRL register when the PRE store engine is
inside the unsafe window, where a hardware update to the ENABLE bit
may happen.

By setting the SFTRST bit, the PRE will be held in the lowest power state
with clocks to the internal blocks gated. When external clock gating is
used (from the external clock controller, or by setting the CLKGATE bit)
the PRE will sporadically fail to start.

d2a3423258 gpu: ipu-v3: add driver for Prefetch Resolve Engine
This adds support for the i.MX6 QuadPlus PRE units. Currently only
linear prefetch into SRAM is supported, other modes of operation
like the tiled-to-linear conversion will be added later.
