3f5c14d3d3 [media] drivers/media: do not use EXTRA_CFLAGS
Usage of these flags has been deprecated for nearly 4 years by:

    commit f77bf01425
    Author: Sam Ravnborg <sam@neptun.(none)>
    Date:   Mon Oct 15 22:25:06 2007 +0200

        kbuild: introduce ccflags-y, asflags-y and ldflags-y

Moreover, these flags (at least EXTRA_CFLAGS) have been documented for command
line use. By default, gmake(1) do not override command line setting, so this is
likely to result in build failure or unexpected behavior.

Replace their usage by Kbuild's `{as,cc,ld}flags-y'.

9bed77ee2f [media] tuner_xc2028: Allow selection of the frequency adjustment code for XC3028
This device is not using the proper demod IF. Instead of using the
IF macro, it is specifying a IF frequency. This doesn't work, as xc3028
needs to load an specific SCODE for the tuner. In this case, there's
no IF table for 5 MHz.

1990d50b58 [media] Stop using linux/version.h on most video drivers
All the modified drivers didn't have any version increment since
Jan, 1 2011. Several of them didn't have any version increment
for a long time, even having new features and important bug fixes
happening.

As we're now filling the QUERYCAP version with the current Kernel
Release, we don't need to maintain a per-driver version control
anymore. So, let's just use the default.

In order to preserve the Kernel module version history, a
KERNEL_VERSION() macro were added to all modified drivers, and
the extraver number were incremented.

I opted to preserve the per-driver version control to a few
pwc, pvrusb2, s2255, s5p-fimc and sh_vou.

A few drivers are still using the legacy way to handle ioctl's.
So, we can't do such change on them, otherwise, they'll break.
Those are: uvc, et61x251 and sn9c102.

The rationale is that the per-driver version control seems to be
actively maintained on those.

Yet, I think that the better for them would be to just use the
default version numbering, instead of doing that by themselves.

While here, removed a few uneeded include linux/version.h

This reverts commit e38030f3ff.

MSI flat-out doesn't work right on cx2388x devices yet. There are now
multiple reports of cards that hard-lock systems when MSI is enabled,
including my own HVR-1250 when trying to use its built-in IR receiver.
Disable MSI and it works just fine. Similar for another user's HVR-1270.
Issues have also been reported with the HVR-1850 when MSI is enabled,
and the 1850 behavior sounds similar to an as-yet-undiagnosed issue I've
seen with an 1800.

e2d4dc5af3 Staging: cx23885: fix include of altera.h
The cx23885 driver was including staging/altera.h, but that file has
moved back into the driver directory.

Why a non-staging driver was including a staging driver is beyond me,
but this fixes the build so everything is happy for now.

For the record, it's not ok for a non-staging driver to depend on a
staging one, as that implies that the non-staging one should also be in
the staging tree if that's needed.

15195d3a83 [media] rc/keymaps: Rename Hauppauge table as rc-hauppauge
There are two "hauppauge-new" keymaps, one with protocol
unknown, and the other with the protocol marked accordingly.
However, both tables are miss-named.

Also, the old rc-hauppauge-new is broken, as it mixes
three different controllers as if they were just one.

This patch solves half of the problem by renaming the
correct keycode table as just rc-hauppauge. This table
contains the codes for the four different types of
remote controllers found on Hauppauge cards, properly
mapped with their different addresses.

The v4l core sets the v4l2_input.capabilities field based on the supplied

d8b4b5822f [media] ir-core: make struct rc_dev the primary interface
This patch merges the ir_input_dev and ir_dev_props structs into a single
struct called rc_dev. The drivers and various functions in rc-core used
by the drivers are also changed to use rc_dev as the primary interface
when dealing with rc-core.

This means that the input_dev is abstracted away from the drivers which
is necessary if we ever want to support multiple input devs per rc device.

The new API is similar to what the input subsystem uses, i.e:
rc_device_alloc()
rc_device_free()
rc_device_register()
rc_device_unregister()

8c71778cbf media/video: don't use flush_scheduled_work()
This patch converts the remaining users of flush_scheduled_work() in
media/video.

* bttv-input.c and cx23885-input.c don't use workqueue at all. No
  need to flush.

* Make omap24xxcam.c and saa7134-empress.c flush the used work
  directly.

* In fd_defio.c, replace cancel_delayed_work() +
  flush_scheduled_work() with cancel_delayed_work_sync().  While at
  it, replace the deprecated cancel_rearming_delayed_work() with
  cancel_delayed_work_sync().

0edf2e5e2b [media] v4l: kill the BKL
All of the hard problems for BKL removal appear to be solved in the
v4l-dvb/master tree. This removes the BKL from the various open
functions that do not need it, or only use it to protect an
open count.

The zoran driver is nontrivial in this regard, so I introduce
a new mutex that locks both the open/release and the ioctl
functions. Someone with access to the hardware can probably
improve that by using the existing lock in all cases.

Finally, all drivers that still use the locked version of the
ioctl function now get called under a new mutex instead of
the BKL.

0e0809a588 V4L/DVB: videobuf: add queue argument to videobuf_waiton()
videobuf_waiton() must unlock and relock ext_lock if it has to wait.
For that to happen it needs the videobuf_queue pointer.

Don't attempt to unlock/relock q->ext_lock unless it was locked in the
first place.

vb->state has to be protected by a spinlock to be safe.

This patch is based on code from Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>.
